The Heart

God so loves you that He has told you how to have the best life. A life full of peace, joy and no regrets. God wants you to have an abundant, successful, meaningful life.
The key to God's highest and best life for you is found in these words found in the Word of God, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." (Pro 4:23)
What you allow to happen in your heart will in time flow out into your life. The things that tumble around in your heart, the things you dwell on, meditate on, will determine the kind of life you will have, a life of blessing or curses. It all starts in your heart.
Notice that the Word says in Proverbs 4:23 that you are to keep your heart with all diligence. The responsibility is yours. No one else can do it for you.
You are the one that allows imaginations in your heart. (you will read more about what the Word of God says about imaginations in the teaching, "The Heart Of A Nation) Those imaginations are your meditations. Thesauruses tells us meditations means to
1. think
2. consider
3. ponder
4. muse
5. reflect
6. deliberate
7. ruminate
8. chew the cud
9. brood
10. mull something over
11. be in a brown study
12. be deep/lost in thought
Only you are responsible for your thinking and your thinking or what you brood on is what is in your heart and that is where your life comes from.
It is the desire of Jesus that you have an abundant life as seen in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Jesus came to give you life more abundantly! He wants you to have a life that is blessed.
Because of His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension to the right hand of God the Father where He ever lives forever, Jesus has enabled all that accept Him as Lord and Savior to be born again and be children of God.
As a born again child of God you have:
* “been made a new creature in Christ Jesus.” (Co 5:17 & Gal. 6:15)
* been.. “delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Col 1:13)
* been given… “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col 1:27)
God has done this and even more for you, the believer. He has done everything so that you can enjoy the abundant life that Jesus spoke of.
Why then are so many people today do not enjoying the fullness of Jesus’ promise of an abundant life?
You must “keep thy heart.” You are told to, “Cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2Co 10:5) This is great news! You can control your thoughts and the imaginations of your heart. You can choose to have the abundant life Jesus promised you!
Choose only to think, meditate or mull over things as Paul instructed you in Philipians 4:8-9 "Finally, brethern, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virture and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you."
As you make a choice to do this you will find your heart changing and you will see your circumstances change over time. III John 2 says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
As you choose to meditate on the Word of God and nothing else you will find your soul prospering and then you will see prosperity of your relationships, family,
