It is Finished

I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:12

When Christ died on the cross, His last words were, “It is finished!” (John 19:30) There was nothing He left undone. He had met his every goal on earth.

That seems unusual today, because many people’s goals are never realized. They either do not pursue them or ditch the effort partway through. These might be such everyday goals as getting straight A’s or landing a great job after college. Or, the focus maybe on the spiritual areas of your life, such as quitting a bad habit or rededicating your life to God.

I know for myself, I enjoy setting goals and I post them where I see them daily. It helps me so that if I am tempted to waver, I let God re-stimulate me to keep on instead of giving up. If we read Phillippians 3:12, we see that Paul was determined not to quit on God. He had his eye on the prize, which was towards Jesus. Paul was off and running and he was not about to turn back.

Enclosed in this newsletter, I wanted to share the goal that I will attain the end of this month. Yes, I will graduate from Praise Christian High School, and I have also completed 30 semester hours at Regent University this year as well. It has been a plate-full with classes from both high school and college, but God is always faithful to allow us to finish the race that we are in.

Please rejoice in this new chapter in my life. Each of you have been there for me and for the most part have watched me grow up. I covet your prayers as a continue the race of achieving a B.A. degree in Communications from Regent University. Also, this invitation does NOT mean that I desire any type of gift, this invitation is to share with you the race that I have started and one that I will achieved within a few years! I love you all very much,
